Lawrence W. “Larry” Beckfield, 72, of Shippensburg, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born Thursday, September 26, 1946, in Johnson County, Indiana. He was a son of the late William John and Betty Louise Hostetter Beckfield.
Larry worked as an Electrician for the Local Union # 143, Harrisburg. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, birdwatching, gardening, and arrowhead hunting.
Larry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice Kay Johnson Beckfield, whom he married February 25, 1967; son, Brian S. (wife Christine) Beckfield, Pottsville; daughter, Angie M.B. (husband Doug) McKee, Shippensburg; son Nathan Andrew Beckfield, Newville; grandchildren, Hailey, Rianon, Cody, Logan, Beau, Rachel, and Nick; seven brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
