Obituary for Lance William Heberlig
Lance William Heberlig, 57, of Newburg, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019.
He was born June 20, 1961 in Chambersburg, PA. Lance was a son of Judith Plank Heberlig of Newburg and the late William G. Heberlig.
Lance was a self-employed farmer and was the owner of Lance’s Liquid Feed. For his first 20 plus years Lance worked for Agway in Shippensburg. He was a faithful member of the Newburg United Methodist Church, their Church Council, was co-founder of the Rural Life celebration, and held numerous other leadership positions within the church. Lance was active with Cumberland County 4-H. He was a 1979 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Susan F. Frotscher Heberlig, three children, W. Franklin Heberlig, Samuel F. Heberlig and Evyn M. Heberlig all of Newburg, one brother, Dwaine R. Heberlig of Mt. Holly Springs and one sister, Lorraine C. Allman of Derry.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 in the Newburg United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with The Rev. Judi A. Herrold officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the services at church.
