Obituary for Elaine C. Toms (Habers)
Elaine C. Toms, 84, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born September 2, 1935 in Flushing, NY. Elaine was a daughter of the late John J. and Viola Anderson Habers.
She attended the Faith Chapel in Carlisle and the Grace Brethren Church in Dillsburg. Elaine was a wonderful mother and homemaker.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick H. Toms who passed away July 29, 2005.
She is survived by one son, David F. Toms of Shippensburg; three daughters, Sheryl E. (Dennie) Richmond of Blanch, NC, Diane C. (Roger) Hoffman of Palmyra and Susan A. Toms of Bradenton, FL; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Habers of Cartersville, GA and Doug Habers of NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Richard Black. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a Bible believing Christian organization.
