Obituary for Terry Lee Killinger
Terry Lee Killinger, 69, of Shippensburg, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, after a two month medical illness.
Born Sunday, September 24, 1950 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Paul Luther and Helen Louise Durnin Killinger.
Terry was of the Protestant Faith. He was a 1969 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
Terry was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He retired in 2007 as a custodian, from the Shippensburg University after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Hub City Club, and the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223 both in Shippensburg. Terry loved life and the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Terry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Connie Diane Allen Killinger, whom he married October 14, 1983; two daughters, Tiffanie L. Moore, and Sydel Lee (Virgil) Lippert, all of Carlisle; two brothers, Richard A. (Mary) Killinger, Shippensburg, and John R. (Joan) Killinger, Bangor, ME; one sister in-law, Carolyn J. Killinger, Shippensburg; three grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step son, Michael J. Shoemaker; brother, Paul Barry Kilinger, and grandson, Lee Westmoreland.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Brian Markle officiating. Burial will be in Cleversburg Cemetery, with Military Honors conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Minutemen. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren, 253 East Garfield Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
