Obituary for Lydia H. Zimmerman (Weaver)
Lydia H. Zimmerman, 63, of Orrstown, departed this life on the morning of Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home.
She was born on March 1, 1956 in Ephrata, Lancaster County. Lydia was a daughter of the late John D. and Annie Z. Hoover Weaver.
Lydia is survived by her husband, Ammon R. Zimmerman; nine children, Etta (Eugene) Hurst, Marcus Zimmerman and Lester Zimmerman, all of Orrstown, Linda (Kenneth) Leinbach of Shippensburg, Lewis (Laura) Zimmerman of Bridgewater, VA, LouAnn (Glenn) Garman of Hopkinsville, KY, Alson (Diane) Zimmerman of Shippensburg, Lovina Zimmerman of Orrstown, and Lamar (Ranelle) Zimmerman of Shippensburg; six brothers, Isaac (Mildred) Weaver of Shippensburg, John Dan (Stella) Weaver of Orrstown, Noah Weaver of Morgantown, PA, Luke (Vera) Weaver of Lewisburg, Ethan Weaver of Orrstown, and Alvin (Emma) Weaver of Barnett, MO; five sisters, Anna Weaver of Orrstown, MaryAnn (Mark) Nolt of Newville, Martha (Roy) Hoover of Hopkinsville, KY, Lovina (Elvin) Zimmerman of Spencer, TN, and Elsie (Elam) Shirk of Ephrata; one sister-in-law, Edna Weaver of Shippensburg; 28 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Ammon Weaver.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the Clearfield Old Order Mennonite Church (at the intersection of Shale and Clearfield Roads), Shippensburg, PA. The church ministry will be officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewings will be on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Zimmerman’s residence, 9710 Muddy Run Road, Orrstown, PA 17244.
