Obituary for Marie Mae Lindsey (Miller)

Marie Mae Lindsey, 89, a resident of Green Ridge Village, Newville, departed this life on the evening of Thursday, November 28, 2019.

She was born on August 26, 1930, in Mechanicsburg, a daughter of the late David and Elmatia (Barrick) Miller and married Arthur E. Lindsey, Jr., in June of 1947. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1998.

Marie worked as a seamstress for the former Orweco Frocks for fifty years. She was a member of the Green Spring Church of the Brethren, a life member of the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168 Ladies Auxiliary and the Minnequa Social Club, and loved to crochet in her free time.

She is survived by a son, James A. Lindsey and wife Debra of Newville; three daughters, Kathy A. Stouffer and husband Jerry of Newburg, Doris J. Salisbury and husband Steven, Sr., of Shippensburg, and Linda L. Ketner and husband Ronald of Roxbury; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Miller.

Her funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., will be private. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
