Obituary for Deneen J. Dean
Deneen J. Dean, 56, of Orrstown, departed this life on the morning of Thursday, November 28, 2019, at her home.
She was born on January 18, 1962, in Chambersburg, the daughter of Donald D. and Maxine B. (Hardy) Dean.
Deneen worked in the healthcare field as an LPN at many local nursing homes, as well as a private duty nurse. In her free time, in her younger years she enjoyed working with crafts. Deneen also liked to watch NASCAR. She was a huge animal lover and had many different kinds of pets over her life; dogs, ferrets, a pig, and even at one time, a skunk.
She is survived by her companion, Lewis “Louie” Sites of Orrstown; her brother, Darrell Dean and wife Ann of Newville; half-brother, Steve Kilgore of Greencastle; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, Deneen was preceded in death by her daughter, Alishia D. Overcash; and a half-sister, Vicki Mitchell.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Following cremation, Deneen will be laid to rest alongside her daughter in the Stenger Hill Cemetery, Ft. Loudon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray final expenses.
