Obituary for Christine Ann Smith
Christine Ann Smith, 58, of Newville, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Monday, August 7, 1961 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Donna M. Goodhart Smith, Sr.
Christine was a 1979 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School. She was a member of the Freedom in Christ Church, Chambersburg.
She was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and loved and cherished her grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Monica L. Karper, Harrisburg, Tonya L. (Joshua) Peck, Orrstown, Justin L. (Autumn) Karper, Shippensburg, and Jessica N. (Michael) Geyer, Newville; one brother, Arthur E. (Karen) Smith, Jr., Newville; one sister, Kimberly S. “Emmeretta” Smith, Carlisle; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two nephews, Jared C. Smith, Shippensburg, and Brandon L. Smith, Upper Strasburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Smith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor John G. Pogue officiating. Burial will be in the Cleversburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, in the funeral home.
