Obituary for William W. Wolfe
William W. Wolfe, 72, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at home.
He was born October 3, 1946 in Chambersburg, PA. Bill was a son of the late Elwood L. and Mabel P. Wingert Wolfe.
He was a retired Borough Manager for Shippensburg and worked as a Barber for Gary Hershey’s Barber Shop. Bill was a member of the Immanuel Fellowship Church and was a mentor for the youth at numerous churches. He was a past Treasurer and Board Member of DOIT and was a past president of the Shippensburg Wrestling Booster Club. Bill was a graduate of the former Shippensburg High School. He was a Webelo and Boy Scout Leader of Troop #121. Bill enjoyed gardening, shopping trips, roller coasters, dancing, celebrations, camping and sporting events. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.
Bill is survived by his wife, Linda D. Hershey Wolfe, one son, Scott W. (Cathy) Wolfe, one daughter, Tammy J. Scull, a daughter-in-law, Robyn Wolfe, six grandchildren, Ken Scull, Jr., Shannon (Austin) Thompson, Keri (Dylan) Herb, Lexi Wolfe, Ethan and Trevor Wolfe, one brother, Richard E. (Dora) Wolfe and he loved his Golden Doddle dog “Bay”. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by one son, William W. Wolfe, Jr. who passed away October 1, 2017.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Mr. Daniel DeVitis and Mr. William Corman. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held Sunday from 12:30 until the time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation, 7 S. Earl St., Shippensburg, PA 17257.
