Obituary for Kenneth L. Wiser
Kenneth L. Wiser, 69, of Orrstown, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born November 29, 1949 in Chambersburg, PA. Kenneth was a son of the late W. Cecil and Beulah Anna Zook Wiser.
For 31 years he worked at the former James River Corporation in Chambersburg and then retired as a dairy farmer. Kenneth was a 1967 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Johnson Wiser; two sons, Ronald L. Wiser and his wife Stacy of Newburg, and Daniel K. Wiser and his wife Teresa of Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Jill, Emily, Kyle, Matthew and Abigail Wiser; two sisters, Bonnie J. Mellott of St. Thomas, and Donna R. Gettel of Shippensburg; one brother, Dennis E. Wiser of Fayetteville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. David S. Halteman. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mowersville Brethren in Christ’s Christian Academy, 14924 W. Creek Rd., Newburg, PA 17240.
